AMF Trains Youth On Soft, Digital Skills.
Over 300 youths from Makueni County have gained essential soft and digital skills through a youth empowerment program held in Wote town on Wednesday.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Anita Mutula Foundation, in partnership with BrighterMonday, aims at equipping young people with skills crucial for employability and entrepreneurship.
Those who received training included students from the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), Wote Campus and the Makueni Vocational and Technical Training Institute (MIVEC).
Speaking during the event, H.E. Anita Mutula, the Executive Director of the Anita Mbinya Foundation, encouraged youth to apply skills acquired in embracing innovation and technology. She urged more young people across the County to take advantage of the program which will continue for the next two years.
Participants received certificates upon completion of the soft skills training.
The event was also attended by Hilda Kabushenga and Sarah Ndegwa, CEO and MD BrighterMonday Kenya respectively, who had earlier held a meeting with the First Lady to discuss youth empowerment in the region.
